Let us tell you
a little bit about ourselves. We have been breeding pure bred dogs for show and obedience
for the past 40
years and fell in love with Flat-Coated Retrievers a number of years ago.
After studying the breed for quite a long time we decided to
purchase one, just to find out that is was not that easy and there
were not a lot of flat coats bred in North America and breeders were
hesitant in selling their pups. After much research into breeders we
found a breeder in the United States that was going to have pups in
the spring that we could purchase with no strings attached. We put a
deposit on a puppy and after waiting six months we picked our puppy
up from the Exotic Athercroft
Kennel.
The
flat-coat we wanted had to have a mild temperament and be laid back
but still be able to work when needed and yet look good for
conformation. Over the past eight years we have been breeding
superior flat-coated retrievers with exactly that -- with super
temperament, able to work in obedience, field and agility and furthermore
not just working dogs but have great conformation. I am happy to say
we have accomplished this with our careful breeding program.
We
do sell our puppies to qualified pet homes as well as conformation
and working homes. We currently have five flat-coated retrievers
living with us and six others that we co-own and have not
experienced any health problems from our breeding program. All our
breeding stock are hips, eyes, and elbows certified and are
Canadian/American champions. We also have a two year guarantee
on all our puppies for any genetic problems.
We
are not a kennel, and our puppies are all born and raised in our
home handled 24 hours a day from birth. Please scroll through our
